The DG5-550 runs on a 48V / 60A lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery that feeds a 2000 W brushless cutter motor and two 500 W brushless track motors. You get 3-4 hours of work per charge. LiFePO4 cells tolerate deep discharge and thousands of charge cycles with minimal capacity loss, and unlike lead-acid batteries they are sealed, maintenance-free and perform well even in cold weather.

The cutting height is adjusted electrically from the remote control between 1 and 15 cm, so you can change the cutting pattern without walking to the machine. Each track is driven by its own brushless motor, which lets the mower turn in place and follow the contours of banks and ditches precisely. The industrial remote offers a high and low speed range and reaches up to 500 m, keeping the operator well clear of the machine on every slope.
